FALL WINTER COLLECTION 2025/26

Sewing has something therapeutic and spiritual about it at the same time.
On one hand, you repeat, as if it were a sacred ritual, imperfect movements that are always the same, distancing yourself from the world and losing yourself in an inner world that is all your own.
On the other hand, with that trembling movement of your hands, you create something new. There is nothing more sacred than the act of creation itself.

A day at the end of February, a walk along the promenade of Nervi, the dim, gray-perlaceous light glistening on the waves of a stormy sea.
We are the sea, we are chaos, we are the storm.

The sky opens, the light returns, the storm ends.

After the chaos comes the silence, a world in tatters, and from all that noise, only silence remains.
Around us, fragments of emotions, fragments of things, fragments of a world destroyed and to be rebuilt from scratch.
A world to RESEW, starting from what remains, moving forward, stitch by stitch, to create a new world, a new dream, a new life.

RESEWN is the story of a specific gesture, made of old things, scraps, and everything that remains of a past present, to create a new inner and outer world, embodied by the pieces of the collection itself.
The rediscovery of a modeling archive and the garments that inhabit it.
The rediscovery of all the scraps from past collections.

The garments, conceived as a reinterpretation of an upside-down world, free of clear boundaries and gender distinctions, minimizing and amplifying everything that is real and refined, tell in every facet this creative ritual.

An act of creation through what is and what remains, just as it is.
The technique of raw finishing, prevalent in the collection, emphasizes this aspect of the creative act, making all the pieces unique and imperfect, constructed and resewn together.

The patch technique, used both on a micro and macro scale, gives life to two realities that coexist in perfect harmony.
On one hand, resewing together small scraps of fabric from all the Miaoran collections made, applied one by one on a neutral base, creates multicolor mosaics that encrust the pieces and make each one unique; on the other hand, resewing together large scraps of fabric, from the last three collections, gives life to a capsule collection of limited edition numbered pieces.

The fits, oversize and relaxed, dress the body by eliminating gender boundaries, playing with masculine and feminine codes in a reinterpretation of a world turned upside down, without borders.

Resewing, starting again from ourselves, from what is and what remains.
A mix of Italian and Chinese influences takes shape both in the volumes with strong oriental influences and in the selection of fabrics.
Natural wools, cottons, and silks worked in their lighter forms, such as gabardine and wool dress fabrics, but also in their more structured shades, such as jacquard woven fabrics with open-knit patterns, reflect the very DNA of MIAORAN and its rediscovery, giving the collection a playful and refined point of view at the same time.

The shades of neutral tones of off-white and black, used as the base for micro patch encrustations, contrast with the warmth of the green tone and the multicolor nuances of the pieces made in macro patch.

A new DNA, everyday, and the vision of a refined and playful, almost ironic, upside-down world.
